Cases › A relaxing Scandinavian feel
Our installation at this family home was featured in several design publications, as the property was so thoughtfully and carefully designed.
One of the main considerations of the client was an environmentally-sustainable development - described as "an essay in contemporary eco-friendly design" by SelfBuild & Design magazine. Given this focus, a polished concrete floor would not have been suitable - but a poured resin alternative is warm, comfortable and environmentally-friendly. Sphere8 floors move throughout the ground floor in a bespoke grey hue and complement what the designer described as "a relaxing Scandinavian feel ... very pared back and simple".
The client requested a solid hue, and eventually choice Solid Flint - a warm, soft grey that is perfect for a well-lit residential space. Genuine polished concrete, or a cooler grey floor, can work with the light to create a cold and unforgiving space. The earthy green pigments in our Flint floor make the perfect back drop for the client's elegant minimalist style and has been expertly designed so it feels inkeeping with the rest of the space.
