Downstairs at dMFK: A Year On

A combination of Sphere8 finishes

The project features BrecciaSphere Lite in Motion Flint, our honed EnduroSphere in a bespoke blend, and Cappadoce wall finish across different areas of the space.

The Motion Flint BrecciaSphere Lite introduces subtle movement through its blended pigments, while the bespoke EnduroSphere finish provides a different character and texture. Cappadoce wall finish completes the material palette, demonstrating how Sphere8 finishes can be combined across floors and walls to create a cohesive interior.

We particularly enjoyed seeing the different finishes working alongside one another within dMFK's living material library. Rather than relying on a single material throughout, the project shows how variations in colour, texture and finish can help define different areas while maintaining a consistent design language.

Downstairs at dMFK was created as a supplier-focused work and event space, providing a setting where architectural materials and products can be experienced in use.

For Sphere8, it was a great opportunity to be part of an environment focused on material exploration and specification. A year on, we're still pleased to see how our different finishes contribute to the space and demonstrate the possibilities of seamless resin flooring and wall finishes in a working interior.
